During his 31-year NFL career, Jim Tunney worked a record 29 postseason assignments, including three Super Bowls. Regarded as the “Dean of NFL Referees,” Tunney is holder of the Gold Whistle, the highest accolade of the National Association of Sports Officials and is in the NFL Hall of Fame. Still active in sports organizations nationwide, serving as Vice Chair for the U. S. Olympic Committee for Northern California (Sydney 2000 Games).
